Walt Shealy

Walt Shealy
Founder/President

Walt Shealy knows construction. With more than 25 years of experience under his belt, he's dedicated his entire career to the construction business. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of South Carolina, Walt went on to found Springhill Construction in 2013. His understanding of budget reductions, effective management, financial forecasting, and transition phases brings a wealth of knowledge to clients.

Walt’s top priority is designing and directing the building process. He strives to ensure projects do not run over projections. He is flexible and works effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment even when faced with unexpected delays. Walt’s excellent communication skills enable him to establish strong relationships with everyone involved.

Walt and his family reside in his hometown of Chapin, South Carolina. He is married to Julie Thomason Shealy, and they have three sons.


Crys Lybrand

Crys Lybrand
Senior Project Manager

Crys Lybrand joined Springhill Construction in 2019, bringing with him over 35 years of experience in all facets of commercial and industrial construction. Crys graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He also holds an E.I.T. certification from the South Carolina Engineer Licensing Board and a qualifying party unlimited license classification from the South Carolina Contractor Licensing Board.

Crys excels in the areas of pre-construction planning, cost estimating, project planning & scheduling, day-to-day project management, controlling costs, with an on time / on schedule delivery of projects that exceed the clients’ expectations. Crys is exceptional with his design-build skills, taking a project from the client’s vision, supervising the project through design and construction, to the final owner occupancy. Crys has managed a multitude of commercial and industrial construction projects to include chain grocery stores, food processing facilities, indoor gun shooting facilities, restaurants, churches, retail distribution centers, warehouses, office buildings and retail buildings.

Crys and his wife reside in Ridge Spring, S.C. where he has served on the Ridge Spring Town Council for 15 years. He has been involved in all aspects of the Ridge Spring Annual Fall Festival for over 30 years. Crys has served as a past overall festival chairman, coordinator of the arts and crafts show and volunteered with the Miss Harvest Festival pageant. Crys is a member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church where he has served as chairman of the board of deacons, financial committee chairman, pastor search committee member, Sunday school teacher and property and grounds chairman.


Julie Thomason Shealy

Julie Thomason Shealy
VP Marketing

In her role as VP of Marketing, Julie brings more than 20 years' experience working in construction marketing in SC and NC to support all in-house marketing and sales goals. She works on presentations, lead tracking, brochures, press releases, advertisements, the website and social media presence, and other marketing collateral to successfully promote the Springhill brand.

Julie is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At USC she took an involved role in her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega and held numerous positions including Pledge Educator. Julie also enjoyed dancing on the Carolina Dance Team. She is a 2003 Leadership Grand Strand graduate. Julie currently serves on the board of directors for the Chapin Chamber of Commerce. Julie is a past board member for the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Myrtle Beach Hospitality Association, the South Carolina Environmental Association and Helping Hand of Myrtle Beach. She has actively served on the March of Dimes committee and the American Heart Association committee. In addition, she has also enjoyed participating in events such as the Washington Road Rally in Washington, DC and traveling with the Missions group to build houses in Mexico. Julie has also received the 2020 Chapin Chamber Advocate of the Year Award. In her role as the Executive Assistant Director of the Miss Myrtle Beach pageant she was presented with the 2009 Hero Award. Julie received three special recognitions from the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce in her role as Team captain in their 2010 membership campaign as well as Volunteer of the Year for the Myrtle Beach Hospitality Association.


Belinda Doss

Belinda Doss
Office Manager

Belinda has many years of experience in both executive and construction management. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as office manager with her background as a paralegal. Belinda's experience in large commercial real estate transactions, property management, and construction administration are unmatched. She holds a Construction Industry Technician (CIT) certification. This certification is recognized by the American Council for Construction Education and acknowledges the accomplishment of attaining a higher professional level in the construction industry. Belinda was named a Future Leader of the Year by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) where she served as a member of the board of directors, treasurer and also the chair of several committees. Belinda currently serves as a Chapin Chamber Ambassador where she nurtures and recruits current and new chamber members. She also acts as a goodwill representative at various Chapin Chamber functions. Belinda is an active member of Dutch Fork Church where she serves as a member of the praise team.


Connie

Connie Sandifer
Accounting Specialist

Connie Sandifer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and also holds an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy. Connie worked in geriatric healthcare for over 20 years which allowed her the freedom to work part time so that she could focus on raising her two children along with managing the bookkeeping for her husband, who is a local real estate appraiser, realtor, and investor. After leaving the healthcare industry Connie decided to pursue her interest in bookkeeping and finance on a full-time basis. Connie resides in Chapin with her husband Todd and enjoys gardening, traveling to experience different cultures and curling up on the back porch with her two dogs.

Community

Based in Chapin, SC, Springhill Construction plays an active role in the community. We engage in supporting culture and various non-profits as we work to be an active community member.
